Homeward Trail Bible Camp (HTBC) provides an atmosphere of rowdy fun combined with warmth and caring so that people, young and old, can enhance their knowledge of God and deepen their relationship with Him. The heart of our program will always be study of the Bible, as our name implies. We do not affiliate with any particular denomination, but do partner with like-minded evangelical churches.
We were founded by and remain associated with
American Missionary Fellowship.
Our campus rests on 10 acres of creek bottom next to the beautiful Muddy Creek valley along highway 2 near Mason City. Our large hill to the north (the "cliff"), peppered with Oaks, Cedars and other shade trees, provides a favorite romping ground for the young. It's steep slopes give way to grassy clearings and then more trees along the creek. Visitors enjoy the stately oaks which shade most of our buildings and decorate open areas.
Our program staff comes from many walks of life. All of our staff are volunteers who give of their time, some for an entire summer or more. They are motivated, well trained, and serve because they want to. We look for dedicated men and women, young and old, who would like to invest time at camp.
